- 1 cup carrots, shredded
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. oregano
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 cup onions, chopped
- 1 T. water
- 1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 pound hamburger or bulk sausage, cooked and drained
- 4 Pita breads
1. Combine all ingredients except beef and pitas in saucepan. Cook until vegetables are tender. Add meat and heat through.
2. Cut pita breads in half, creating two pockets. Fill each pita bread pocket with mixture; wrap each in foil and bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
Makes 8 pockets. A serving may be one to two pockets, depending on the appetite and what else you serve with it.
