Black Bean & Bacon Soup
  • 10 slices bacon, chopped
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 5 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 14-1/2 oz. can chicken broth
  • 1 15 oz. can diced tomatoes
  • 2 T. ketchup
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 3 cans black beans, drained
1. Cook the bacon in large pot over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
2. Stir in the onions and cook for another 5 minutes.
3. Stir in the garlic and cook about 1 minute.
4. Add the broth, tomatoes, ketchup, Worcestershire, and chili powder.
5. Stir in the beans, turn the heat to high and bring to a boil.
6. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
